MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — A former executive for Glock Inc. convicted of stealing a pistol and millions of dollars from the gun manufacturing giant is set to be sentenced in Georgia for the crime.
Paul Jannuzzo could face up to 30 years in prison when he’s sentenced Wednesday on theft and racketeering charges.
Prosecutors say Jannuzzo, the company’s former general counsel, and another executive pilfered more than $5 million.
Jannuzzo is maintaining his innocence, and he claims Cobb County prosecutors “outsourced” the case to Glock investigators. He wants a judge to appoint an independent prosecutor to handle his sentencing.
Cobb County District Attorney Pat Head has said Jannuzzo’s claims aren’t true. He says Jannuzzo is “just crying because he lost.”
