Executive Producer tweets about first ‘Mortal Instruments’ trailer

Executive Producer Martin Moszkowicz of Constantin Film took to Twitter today, “and everybody at Sony and Constantin is working hard on the first trailer of TMI.” The teaser trailer for the highly anticipated film was released this past November. The teaser was impressive at how much it showed considering that filming wrapped earlier that week. The trailer delighted fans, who took to social media to voice positive reactions and even non-readers to the series spoke out.

No official release date for the trailer has been announced. However, when bestselling Mortal Instruments author Cassandra Clare was asked about its release on Twitter, she replied with “maybe March…” Now with Moszkowicz’s tweet today things are definitely looking positive towards meeting Clare’s guess. Plus, this time frame would follow true to considering “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” August 23 release.

The studio celebrated Valentine’s Day (a holiday with special meaning to Mortal Instruments fans) by releasing new character graphics throughout the week. See all of the new graphics here. One image shared the first look of Magnus Bane (Godfrey Gao.) Magnus was only briefly heard in the teaser trailer since his appearance requires CGI.

Cassandra Clare previously shared her wish list for the first “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” trailer. What do you want to see?
