ABC – Facebook has revealed it received 546 requests from Australian authorities for information about its users in the first six months of this year. In a statement, the company’s general counsel Colin Stretch said the data requests related to 601 Facebook users. The statement says information was produced in 64 per cent of cases. “We fight many of these requests, pushing back when we find legal deficiencies and narrowing the scope of overly broad or vague requests,” Mr Stretch said.
