As a beauty blogger I’m always looking forward to try new things. The biggest problem I always face when checking out a new foundation is being able to find my match. It’s always important to know your skin tone when you’re looking to try something new, like True Makeup. Not only does knowing your skin tone help you find your foundation, but also things like lip products and eye shadow… even hair colors.
Let’s start with warmer skin tones. If you notice hints of red or peach in your skin and gold jewelry typically looks great on you (and not silver), then your skin tone is warm. You may even notice that blond and auburn hair colors look amazing with your skin tone. Now onto cooler skin tones. If silver jewelry looks amazing and darker hair shades, then you have a cool skin tone.
Skin tone isn’t the only thing that you should consider when choosing makeup. Your eye color really says a lot as well. Are you thinking about changing your hair up a little bit? Consider your eye color for a second. If you have blue or green eyes, lighter shades of brown and blonde look great. If you have hazel and brown eyes, you’ll want to choose darker tones. This doesn’t mean you can go light or those with blue or green eyes can’t go dark. It’s just that these shades will complement those eye colors the best.
