Some are now wondering if the plane landed somewhere in a hijack type scenario as the plane seemed to be still under intelligent control

STRAIGHT OF MALACCA (INTELLIHUB) — A few more pieces of the jig-saw puzzle have come together as it has now been reported by the Malaysian military that Malaysian Air flight MH370 was tracked on radar headed west over one hour after the tower had lost contact with the eastbound aircraft carrying 239 passengers. The military reported that they eventually lost contact with the airliner at about 2:40am over the Straights of Malacca.
It has also been reported that villagers from Marang, toward the east coast of Malaysia, heard what sounded like a jet fan and a strange ringing noise for about two minutes around 1:20am Saturday morning.
Alias Salleh, a 36-year-old lorry driver told Malaysia’s The Sun Daily, he and friends had run towards the source of the noise, “but did not see anything unusual”.
The noise sounded like “the fan of a jet engine,” Mr Salleh added.
Mohd Yusri Mohd Yusof, a 34-year-old villager, said: “My friends and I heard the ringing noise for about two minutes.”
This may signify that the jet was turning under power, matching what the military reported as the jet may have turned back to the west.
It is unknown at this time if the aircraft experienced electrical failures that would have deactivated the transponder around 1:30am when the tower lost contact. However, an aircraft expert stated on a live CNN newscast a 2:50pm EST Tuesday, that it would be highly unlikely that an electrical failure caused the transponder to stop pinging considering the nature of the Boeing 777 aircraft. Experts say that this may signify that the transponder was turned of manually before entering Vietnamese airspace.
It was also reported that Iranian officials identified the two men who boarded the flight with stolen passports as Seyed Mohammed Reza Delavar, 29, and Pouria Nourmohammadi,18, both from Iran. However, it is not yet known if the men were involved in a terror plot of any type.
Could the plane have landed somewhere under skilled control?
One CNN newscaster was even speculating that the plane could have been landed at one of three military bases in the area with adequate runway space suitable for a Boeing 777 to land.
The mystery continues.
