Peter Nolan “General Hospital” star Kirsten Storms, who plays the very pregnant Maxie Jones, is not only pregnant in real life but as People Magazine reported on August 20, she has also married ex-GH star Brandon Barash, who played Jonny Zacchara.
Many GH fans lobbied for a Maxie and Johnny pairing while he was still on the show, but it never happened, although the two characters flirted. Apparently the two actors took the relationship off the screen. The relationship is a surprise because both Storms and Barash were able to keep it secret, they were also able to keep things secret about Storms pregnancy.
Barash told People:
“We kept things quiet because of everything that can go wrong during the first trimester. Kirsten did have a rocky [time] and were were in and out of the hospital.”
The happy couple is delighted to be having a baby girl. One has to wonder if that’s why Storm’s character Maxie is also having a little girl.
The 29-year-old storms had to take months off from the show as she battled endometriosis which makes the pregnancy even more suprising, and another reason why the experience has been amazing. Barash described it as feeling “like a fairytale.”
Brandon Barash last appeared on “General Hospital” last April while Storms is involved in a current storyline in which her character is in the process of having a little girl.
Sometimes soaps does reflect real life. Congratulations to Kirsten Storms and Brandon Barash.
