Police are questioning a man who drove a bus and picked up a number of school children on Queensland’s Gold Coast this morning.
It happened on a bus route in the northern suburb of Coombabah.
A parent raised concerns that the bus did not have a ticket machine.
Les Manson from Surfside Buslines says police were notified as a result.
“He was doing a loop apparently and children were getting on and off the bus as necessary,” he said.
“I believe he went to the school and said he was a bit lost and the children got a bit nervous and disembarked.
“That’s when it was alerted to us and we implemented our emergency procedures in these sort of instances.”
A bus was later found in Pine Ridge Road at Coombabah.
