DETAILS have emerged of Grant Hackett’s mystery woman. The buxom blonde photographed with the former swimming champion is a model who socialises with the high rollers of Ivy’s exclusive Level 6 penthouse.
Shane Blackett is a hostess at the elite Merivale venue, whose clientele include top tier CEO’s and businessmen for whom the $5500 annual membership fee is pocket change.
Confidential spoke to her mother, Sharon Blackett, yesterday who confirmed the woman in the photo was her daughter: “I have seen the photos. She’s our daughter. I am not going to say anything. It is up to her whether she speaks to you. She probably won’t. She is very private.”
When asked where her daughter worked, she confirmed she was employed at the VIP bar: “She works at The Ivy on Level 6, the VIP lounge. She grew up in Sydney, we moved to the Hunter Valley two years ago and all the children stayed in Sydney.”
Blackett’s agent, Gordon Charles from Platform models said his client was a sought-after model: “Shane is a model with Platform. She is working next week, she is doing shows for Westfield this week. She may be wanting to keep it (her relationship with Hackett) under the radar so I have to respect her confidentiality.”
Images of the Olympian leaving his Sydney apartment with Blackett emerged just weeks ahead of his one-year divorce anniversary from Candice Alley.
Onlookers said the pair hugged on the footpath outside Hackett’s city apartment following a breakfast date.
Following a very public split from Alley in April, 2012, the swimmer received a backlash of negative publicity.
