HONG Kong stocks have climbed 1.07 per cent following a positive lead from Wall Street and despite worse than expected Chinese trade data.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 221.55 points, to end on Wednesday at 20,904.56 on turnover of HK$52.85 billion ($A7.47 billion).
Chinese shares closed up 2.17 per cent. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 42.68 points to 2008.13 on turnover of 72.8 billion yuan ($A13.04 billion).
