Tasmania’s hospitality industry is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of armed robbers responsible for holding up in Hobart’s northern suburbs.
Earlier this month, two men used a double-barrelled shotgun to threaten staff and patrons at the Claremont Hotel.
Guns have been used in another two hotel hold-ups in the northern suburbs in May and June.
Two men have been charged with aggravated armed robbery over the incident at the York Hotel at Granton last month.
Steve Old of the Hospitality Association says are hoteliers are fed up with being the targets of armed robbers.
“Claremont one was obviously the last one and the more brazen of the attacks and obviously it brought to an end the fact that we’ve sort of enough’s enough from our industry perspective,” he said.
