Palm trees are tranquil little monocots that sway in the wind, and which deserve to be drawn and painted from time-to-time. The following steps were used to create the palm tree painting pictured in this article.
Step 1:
A hand-drawn palm tree cut-out was adhered to a sheet of heavy duty drawing paper.
Step 2:
An ocean landscape was drawn behind the palm tree.
Step 3:
The sky was painted with medium blue tones of acrylic paint.
Step 4:
Two shades of green acrylic paint were used to create the fronds of the palm tree.
Step 5:
The trunk of the palm tree was painted in with gray and black acrylic paint.
Step 6:
Light blue and white acrylic paint was used to color in the ocean.
Step &:
Brown paint was used to paint the beach, and a couple of rocks were painted onthe shoreline..
Step 9:
The painting dried over night before being put in an art scrapbook.
