Iran always agreed with diplomatic solution to Syria crisis: MP

IRNA – Iran has always agreed and would agree with diplomatic solution to Syrian crisis though inter-Syrian dialogue, A senior MP said.

Chairman of Iran’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi made the remarks in a press conference in Damascus on Thursday.

He said Islamic Republic of Iran opposes to imposing any solution to Syrian government and people.

All the forces that have entered the Syrian soil without coordination and permission should leave the country and let Syria have peace and security, the MP said.

Speaking about Astana upcoming talks in the Kazakhstan capital, Boroujerdi noted, ‘We should be optimistic towards this round of negotiations and avoid pessimism.’

The inter-Syrian dialogue in Astana is not the first round of negations between Syrians and there had been similar talks in Damascus and Tehran in the past, the MP said.

The diplomatic solution does not include Daesh and al-Nosrah front and they should be confronted through military ways, he said.

He noted that the new round of talks in Astana will be complicated.
Iran’s advisory help can resolve Syria crisis, the MP added.

He said that Iran has always been critical of Turkey’s position towards Syria and its entrance to Syrian territory was another mistake for the country.

According to the Moscow agreement on Syria, three major countries of Iran, Turkey and Russia are present in the meeting and presence of other countries, including Saudi Arabia, in the Astana talks is a kind of protocol, the MP said.
