According to IRIB World Service, Raybin Rasoul, the advisor to Barzani, in an interview with a Saudi TV Network on Friday said Iran is the regional pioneer in the campaign against the terrorist outfit, dubbed ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL), and Erbil-Tehran relations are of especial importance for Iraqi Kurds.
This Iraqi Kurd official referred to the successful clean-up operations in a region, and the commencement of operations for liberation of other parts from the yoke of ISIL terrorists.
Rasoul went on to mention the difficult situation of Iraq and the sinister efforts of a number of parties to stir sectarian strife in this country, while stipulating that any sectarian tension will be detrimental for the interests of Iraq. He added that Peshmerga forces will be committed to their responsibilities in the campaign against terrorism, while cooperating with the Iraqi army.
