A Polish hobbyist has modified a wheelbarrow with an internal combustion engine to make it go really fast.
Who knew motorised wheelbarrows were a thing? Apparently they’re a thing. We were alerted to this fact by an enterprising person in Poland who decided to make a high-speed wheelbarrow using what sounds like a trail bike motor.
Motorised wheelbarrows that give you a little help pushing have been around for a while, but the ability to ride it like some sort of speedy wheelbarrow Segway is a little less common. We don’t know who this person is, or why. Actually, we have a pretty good idea of why: because who doesn’t want their very own ride-on, motorised wheelbarrow?
It turns out Romanians are pretty big fans. Earlier this year, a Romanian soccer team used one to remove an injured player from the field. We also kind of love the honey badger attitude of this Romanian guy.
Someone should start a Kickstarter or make an Instructables kit for these things. Or maybe inventor Colin Furze should give it a spin — we don’t think the wheelbarrows are any faster than a maximum of about 50cc or so.
Anyway, shine on, you crazy, wheelbarrow-modifying diamonds.
