Chuck Schumer threatened President-Elect Donald Trump that the nation’s intelligence community could “strike back” at Trump if he continues to criticize the agencies.

He said Trump was being “really dumb” for picking a fight with the spy agencies, saying they have ways to get back at him after Trump speculated that his “so-called” briefing about Russian cyberattacks had been delayed to strengthen their case.

Speaking on MSNBC’s (((Rachel Maddow))), the New York Senator said: “”Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you,” he said. “So, even for a practical supposedly hard-nosed businessman, he’s being really dumb to do this.”

Trump has been skeptical of the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia was almost certainly involved in a hacking attempt aimed at interfering with the U.S. election.

Over the weekend, he claimed he knew things that “other people don’t know” and that more information would be “soon on the way. You’ll find out on Tuesday or Wednesday,” he said.

The intelligence briefing was scheduled to be held mid-week, but Tuesday night, he said it had been delayed until Friday, and insinuated that the Intelligence Community needed more time to build their case.

Schumer’s not-so-veiled threat that the nation’s spooks might actually try to get “revenge” on Trump for his criticism is both beneath his office and insulting to the agencies themselves.

To suggest that one agency would “get back” at the president is not just wrong – it’s disgusting.

At this point in time, we really need to do away with a good chunk of the bloated monstrosities that are the federal intelligence agencies.

Their main purpose was during the Cold War era; a time of different geopolitical issues, and an age when technology was still in its infancy.

With the internet firmly in place as the main medium of communication, a government can do wonders with a fraction of the personnel and budget, and could largely do away with the structures that have existed for several generations.

Not to mention the fact that organizations like the CIA have proven entirely inept and useless during the last couple of decades, able to be misled and tricked with faulty intelligence and sources to the point where American men were sent to bleed to death in random desert cesspits for useless causes.

I say scrap the whole damned thing and rely on a small group of hackers, professional analysts, and assassins – really along the lines of the Mossad.

We would just need to compensate due to the lack of willing enemy agents in almost every single country.

President-elect Donald Trump, a harsh critic of U.S. intelligence agencies, is working with top advisers on a plan that would restructure and pare back the nation’s top spy agency, people familiar with the planning said.

The move is prompted by his belief that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has become bloated and politicized, these people said.

The planning comes as Mr. Trump has leveled a series of social-media attacks in recent months and the past few days against U.S. intelligence agencies, dismissing and mocking their assessment that Russia stole emails from Democratic groups and individuals and then provided them to WikiLeaks for publication in an effort to help Mr. Trump win the White House.

One of the people familiar with Mr. Trump’s planning said advisers also are working on a plan to restructure the Central Intelligence Agency, cutting back on staffing at its Virginia headquarters and pushing more people out into field posts around the world. The CIA declined to comment.

“The view from the Trump team is the intelligence world has become completely politicized,” said the individual, who is close to the Trump transition. “They all need to be slimmed down. The focus will be on restructuring the agencies and how they interact.”

Mr. Trump’s advisers say he has long been skeptical of the CIA’s accuracy, and the president-elect often mentions faulty intelligence in 2002 and 2003 concerning Iraq’s weapons programs. But his public skepticism about the Russia assessments has jarred analysts accustomed to more cohesion with the White House.

Among those helping lead Mr. Trump’s plan to revamp the intelligence agencies is his national security adviser, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who had served as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency until he was pushed out by Mr. Clapper and others in 2014. Also involved in the planning is Rep. Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.), whom Mr. Trump selected as CIA director.

Current and former intelligence and law-enforcement officials have reacted with a mix of bafflement and outrage to Mr. Trump’s continuing series of jabs at U.S. spies.

“They are furious about it,” said one former senior intelligence official, adding that a retinue of senior officials who thought they would be staying on in a Hillary Clinton administration now are re-evaluating their plans following Mr. Trump’s election.

Current and former officials said it was particularly striking to see Mr. Trump quote Mr. Assange in tweets.

“It’s pretty horrifying to me that he’s siding with Assange over the intelligence agencies,’’ said one former law enforcement official.

The White Wizard will not be mocked, especially considering the fact that he did more to rid our political system of treasonous enemy scum than thousands of official government employees working for the numerous alphabet agencies supposedly in the business of national defense.

I would gladly take Assange over the entirety of the CIA, and I will make it one of my missions in the coming year to lobby President Trump to pardon the man and offer him asylum and legal status within the United States.

It’s the least he can do to payback Assange’s efforts against Saggy Granny and her ilk.
