Left-wing media giants like CNN and Reuters appear to be more angered that conservative political leader Giorgia Meloni, who is the current front-runner to win Italy’s national election in September, shared a video of a Ukrainian woman being raped on the streets of Italy by an African migrant than over the actual rape itself.
The video of the incident, which involved a 55-year-old Ukrainian woman being raped in the middle of the day on the streets of Piacenza by a 27-year-old asylum seeker from Guinea, is blurred out, but the woman’s screams can still be heard. The woman, who was merely walking down the street, was ambushed at random by the migrant male. Although he has been arrested, the woman remains in the hospital in a state of shock.
It is first worth pointing out that Meloni, who leads the conservative Brothers of Italy party, was not the original publisher of the video. The whole incident was caught on film by a man who witnessed the rape from his window, and the video was published by an Italian news organization. So, the video was a matter of public record before Meloni shared it.
“One cannot remain silent in the face of this atrocious episode of sexual violence against a Ukrainian woman carried out in daytime in Piacenza by an asylum seeker,” Meloni wrote on Twitter, which has since deleted the video that she originally shared.
“A hug to this woman. I will do everything I can to restore security to our cities.”
Second, the reality is that this is not some one-off incident posted purely to shock Italy. It is in fact part of a trend, a trend that left-wing news outlets refuse to report on in the context of this video. In Italy, 40 percent of all rapes are committed by foreigners who make up 8 percent of the population. Reuters did acknowledge this statistic in a 2017 report, but such openness is unimaginable in 2022.
In many ways, it is déjà vu all over again, with the same Reuters headline reading “Rape cases fuel anti-migrant angst in Italy ahead of election.” The article, written during a time when it was perhaps more acceptable to at least address the topic of migrant rape, makes for enlightening reading, as it details gang rapes and a litany of other sexual assaults that were already plaguing Italy five years ago. However, already then, the article also features the same theme of right-wing parties allegedly “exploiting” these cases to score electoral gains.
Nevertheless, there is the undeniable reality of elevated migrant crime that the left-liberal establishment would like to ignore or even censor, especially given that this trend has been seen throughout Europe, including in Sweden, Germany, Denmark, France, and Switzerland, just to name a few countries.
The question is at what point is the right “exploiting” rape cases involving migrants versus pointing to a troubling reality? Should the left not be asking why there are so many such rape cases to “exploit” for political gain? It is not some delusion of the right, but a statistical reality that has been seen across Europe.
So, what is the left’s solution to migrant rapes in the middle of the day against a 55-year-old Ukrainian woman, to teenagers being groped on a public train by up to 30 migrants, or to Italian women trying to enjoy New Year’s Eve only to be groped by a group of migrant men in Milan? Their solution is to condemn anyone who points out these incidents, accuse them of racism, and employ censorship.
The reality is that media outlets like Reuters and CNN are actually not all that concerned about the fact that nearly half of rapes in Italy are committed by foreigners or in Sweden or in Berlin, as these types of statistics fly in the face of the open-borders agenda they promote. Both Italy’s left-wing politicians and the international press fear Italians being confronted with a visceral video that lays bare the perils of mass immigration. These same outlets will however promote graphic videos that serve their agenda, such as the death of George Floyd, which was widely published by many of the top press outlets across the Western world. In addition, social media giants, normally very willing to censor graphic content, allowed the video to be shared far and wide.
Meloni’s decision to share such a video at the height of her popularity highlights the incredible downside of mass immigration to Europe in a manner that cannot be allowed; hence, it must be erased from social media and condemned by the most powerful media outlets. This trend is not going away, and the censorship is likely only to accelerate, as Remix News has directly experienced.
Italians, however, may see it differently, and polling shows it. Meloni is predicted to win the upcoming election and become the country’s first female prime minister; even if she falls short, approximately half of Italy is ready to vote for conservative parties. It is not just one rape video that is fueling their vote; most reject open borders, are concerned about the country’s poor security situation, and have a desire to reclaim some sovereignty from an increasingly out-of-touch European Union.
We here have advised Ukrainian women multiple times not to seek to migrate to the West as it is not what they think it is. It is normal that many of them are going to West Europe because its financially richer, however, they are risking their own safety by doing this. It is advised that they remained to their neighboring countries if they care about their own lives. Poland, Romania, Moldova, Hungary, Slovakia, heck even Bulgaria to some extent are much safer to live in than Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, UK, etc.
Well if they don’t understand and they still wanna desperately chase for the money, then they shouldn’t be in such “shock” when things like this happen to them. Sadly for us all, West Europe is just not what it once used to be. If you are a Ukrainian reading this, you don’t need this to happen to you personally so that you understand. You don’t need to experience these kind of things on your own skin to understand. You can learn from this article and many other similar ones.
This is like getting burned. Do you necessarily need to put your hand in fire to see that it will burn you? You saw that it burns others, it is enough as evidence that fire is dangerous and so is it with West Europe. You saw that other Ukrainians are getting raped, sex trafficked and even killed in West Europe, it should be enough for you as evidence that you shouldn’t go there. It is not the white Western Europeans who are dangerous. They are good people, they are great people but they have a problem, they have millions of non-Europeans living in their countries. They are infested with Africans and Arabs. If they ever clean the infestation, then heck, by all means, go to the West, it will probably be much better than in the East, at least financially speaking.
