“I am ecstatic with what happens this season,” she said. “I
think the audience is going to be surprised. For me, it was very meaningful
with what happens to Peggy.”
Moss, 29, also said that she was relaxed about having to play a role which was
less glamorous than many of the other women on the show, such as those of
Jones and Christina Hendricks, who portrays sultry secretary Joan Hendricks.
“I would much rather have an interesting character to play,” Moss
said. “I didn’t get into the business to be a model. I can get dressed up
and wear something sexy any night of the week.”
In the interview with the New York Post Magazine, Moss also spoke for the
first time about her recent divorce from comedian Fred Armisen, who appears
on Saturday Night Live and Portlandia, and who she married in 2009.
She said: “It’s so hard to talk about. One of the greatest things I heard
someone say about him is, ‘He’s so great at doing impersonations. But the
greatest impersonation he does is that of a normal person.’ To me, that sums
it up.
“I’ve never told anyone that. And I don’t want to waste any more of my
life talking about it.”
Asked if she was still in contact with Armisen, she added: “Oh, God, no.”
