AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Maine gas prices have fallen nearly four cents in the past week and the average retail price is down to $3.86 per gallon.
Price-monitoring website MaineGasPrices.com reports Monday that although local prices are falling faster than they are nationally, the Maine price remains nice cents above the national average.
Current prices are more than 11 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are more than 12 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
The national average has decreased 13 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 16 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.
