A man has been charged with murder following a fight at a Melbourne home in which a 34-year-old man died.
The dead man was one of five people injured at the home in Ashwood about 4.20am (AEDT) on Thursday. He died at The Alfred hospital early on Friday morning.
A 28-year-old man from Ashwood was charged on Saturday with one count of murder and three of intentionally causing serious injury.
He faced an out-of-sessions hearing on Saturday afternoon and was remanded in custody.
He will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
A 38-year-old woman was also taken to hospital after the incident and is expected to be interviewed by police at a later date.
A 15-year-old boy and a three-year-old boy also received minor injuries in Thursday’s altercation.
