Awake Goy Israeli occupation government had launched massive settlement project to connect Jerusalem with the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem, Israeli newspaper revealed on Monday.
Israeli authorities have started land survey across the land lying between the southeast of the occupied holy city of Jerusalem and Bethlehem in order to declare a state land and build a new settlement.
After the survey and the announcement of the area a state land, the Israeli authorities would be able to build settlement units and other projects that would connect the illegal Jewish settlement of Givat Eitam with the illegal Jewish settlement of Efrat.
The illegal settlement of Efrat would include almost 2,500 new settlement units according to the plans of the Israeli Ministry of Housing and Construction.
“The installation of this infrastructure will be possible if and when the land survey now underway is completed in the area between Efrat and Givat Eitam in a manner that creates contiguity of state lands,” Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported.
Meanwhile, the newspaper revealed that the Israeli occupation authorities had laid down the groundwork for a “strategic settlement plan” in the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khalil.
The Israeli Civil Administration in the occupied West Bank, according to the newspaper, promised to advance a “strategic development plan” in Al-Khalil’s South Hills.
An internal document sent in the past few months from the former Director of the Israeli Civil Administration David Menachem to the head of the Region Settlement Council in Al-Khalil Hills included an “obligation” to carry out a number of settlement projects.
The strategic projects, the document showed, included industrial parks, a medical centre and housing units for settlers.
