Actor Michael McKean was struck by a car on the Upper West Side of Manhattan on Tuesday.
According to DNAinfo, McKean was “one of three people rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital.”
Edward Hernendez, 26, who works at a nearby dry cleaner, said he ran outside after he heard the accident and saw McKean being strapped into a stretcher — although he did not know at the time that the man hit was a famous actor.
“The guy was on the floor, and bleeding,” Hernendez said.
A spokeswoman confirmed to The Wrap that McKean broke his leg in the accident, but said that he was otherwise “fine.”
The actor, most famous for his roles in Christopher Guest comedies, including “Spinal Tap,” is currently performing on Broadway. He also recently appeared on the ABC sitcom “Happy Endings.”
