Mohamed Morsi’s trial postponed

Former egyptian president, Mohamed Morsi, and 14 others members of the Muslim Brotherhood have appeared before the Court of Cairo on November 4th 2013.

Mr. Morsi, who had not appeared in public since he was overthrown by the army, on July 3rd 2013, presented himself as president sitting, and rejected the Court’s competence.

He is accused of having authorized the Brotherhood of replacing the police, on december 5th 2012, and of having assassinated three demonstrators.
The trial was postponed until beginning of January.

The Egyptian justice also has to rule over the fate of former president Hosni Moubarak, acquitted from corruption accusations, but prosecuted for his involvement in the repressions of demonstrators.
