A man and a woman accused of multiple child sex offences met on a dating website, police say.
A 26-year-old Beenleigh man faced the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday, and a 34-year-old Ipswich woman is expected to appear before the court on Saturday.
Both have been charged with 16 counts of indecent dealing of a child under 16, seven counts of child rape and one count of making child exploitation material.
Police say the pair allegedly met on a social networking dating website.
The man and woman were charged on Friday by the long-running Taskforce Argos investigating child pornography and the Child Abuse Unit.
Detective Superintendent Cameron Harsley said it was important for people to be extra vigilant when posting information online.
“I cannot stress enough how important it is for people to understand and acknowledge the dangers of posting information about themselves on social networking sites,” he said in a statement.
