The Netherlands is a country deeply involved with soccer. Watch and share this video, where the famous orange shirts carry the name of Palestinian soccer player Mahmoud Sarsak, who resisted his imprisonment without charge or trial by the Israelis by going on a hunger strike for a full three months. In this short film by Abdelkarim El-Fassi, Dutch politicians and artists express their denunciation of the ongoing Israeli practice of so-called ‘administrative detention’, which over the years has landed thousands of Palestinian civilians in jail without due process. Mahmoud Sarsak, player in the Palestinian national team, has been in jail now for almost three years.
