Photo: Bighorn sheep in snowy Wyoming

“Other than the wolves and bears, the bighorn sheep is one of my favorite animals to photograph in Yellowstone National Park,” writes Donald Quintana. “For one, they’re not as difficult to find and a willing subject makes for a good time. Bison and elk are pretty easy to shoot as well and after a few days in the park, you realize they are everywhere. The bighorn sheep are still pretty elusive at times and getting a good shot does require some work but for the most part, they’re fairly accommodating once you locate them.”
