The President of Argentina has accused the Jews of her country of plotting terror attacks against the state, according to a statement released to the press.

After Argentina’s Jewish community complained that the government of Iran is evading justice of the 1994 bombing of the Jewish community center, the president of Argentina accused the Jewish community of conspiring against Argentina.

Argentina’s President, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, publicly attacked the head of the Jewish community in Buenos Aires, implying that he was in contact with a “foreign spy agency known for planning new terrorist attacks against Argentina.”

Guillermo Borger, president of AMIA Jewish Center in Buenos Aires, said that the agreement between Argentina and Iran to create a commission to investigate the 1994 bombing of the center “will allow a third bombing in Argentina”. In 1992, the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires was bombed.

“This pact is seen by some as a step forward. This may be a step toward the precipice and will allow a third attack very unfortunately,” Borger said.

The confrontation between Borger and Fernandez came to a head on collision on Saturday as the president went on national television airwaves and Twitter to defend the agreement.

“I read with concern the statements of Guillermo Borger, president of AMIA, in dealing with Iran. What does he know to make such a terrible statement?” Fernandez asked on Twitter. “If there was an attack planned in relation to the agreement with Iran, who is the mastermind and perpetrator?” She asked.
