Prosecutor promises jurors in DA murder trial an airtight case and an emailed confession

…. Williams, a former justice of the peace, is accused of the fatal January 2013 shooting of Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse, 57, in a parking lot near the courthouse.


Two months later, on Easter weekend, McLelland, 63, and his 65-year-old wife were gunned down in their Forney home.


Authorities say the killings were revenge for the 2012 theft case that Hasse and McLelland brought against Williams for stealing county computer monitors. Williams lost his JP spot and eventually was disbarred as a result of the conviction….
