Electoral rolls have been re-opened to give Queenslanders more time to enrol for local government elections.
Attorney-General Paul Lucas said enrolments for council elections would now close on February 25, the same day rolls close for the state poll.
The state election will be held on March 24 and council elections on April 28.
Mr Lucas said re-opening the rolls for local government elections was necessary after the poll date was pushed back more than a month to accommodate the state election.
He said the Local Government Association of Queensland supported the move.
