Emergency services are warning residents to take cover as severe thunderstorms sweep across parts of Western Australia.
Flash flooding, large hail and damaging winds that could damage homes and property were forecast for southern WA by the Bureau of Meteorology just after 6pm (WST) on Thursday.
People living between Bremer Bay, Mount Jackson, Kalgoorlie, Israelite Bay and along the south coast are told to stay inside, unplug electrical appliances and leave the water.
This includes people in, near or between the towns of Kalgoorlie, Esperance and Southern Cross, Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA) says.
“This is typical weather for this time of year but could damage homes and make travel dangerous.”
