The units of the Syrian Arab army (SAA) have recaptured the most areas of Syria’s coastal province of Lattakia (Latakia) in the recent days and were able to eliminate a large number of foreign-supported terrorist groups in the region of the Arab nation, while other terrorists were injured or fled to the neighbouring country of Turkey.

Since yesterday, almost all parts of Syria’s coastal province of Lattakia (Latakia) is again under the full control of the Syrian Arab army (SAA). Especially the northern countryside of Lattakia has been finally cleaned from armed terrorists by the recent military operations of Syrian army units in the region.

According to the reports from the northern area of the province of Lattakia (Latakia), a large number of the armed terrorists and jihadists who are fighting against the secular government of Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad in the capital Damascus were killed in these military operations by the Syrian forces in the province of Latakia (Lattakia) in the recent days.

The units of the Syrian Arab army (SAA) have not only regained the control about the areas and villages in the northern countryside of Lattakia (Latakia), which had been occupied by the terrorist groups a couple of weeks ago, but the Syrian army units were also able to secure these areas.

The fighting between the Syrian forces and the armed terrorists and extremists in the northern area of the countryside of Lattakia were very intense and the Syrian army was able to inflict heavy losses on the side of the armed Takfiri extremists and terrorists.

In the course of the recent successful military operations by the Syrian army units in the province of Lattakia, the army was able to recapture a lot of villages. Just yesterday, the army has recaptured the villages of Hambousheyah, al-Ballouta and Sheikh Nabhan in the countryside of Syria’s coastal province.

And already on August 17, the units of the Syrian forces in the northern countryside of the coastal province of Lattakia were able to regain the full control of the Syrian villages of Abu-Makkah and Shakouhi, beside the successful operations to restore the security in several other villages and smaller towns in the northern area of the province of Lattakia (Latakia).

As mentioned, it is to expect that in case the province of Lattakia (village of Salma) is completely cleaned from the armed extremists and terrorists and the regained areas are secured, that the units of the Syrian army will move forward to the province of Idlib (Idleb).

A source of the Syrian military spoke on the condition of anonymity with Press TV and said that the units of the Syrian Arab army (SAA) have eradicated the terrorists who had infiltrated into these villages (in the countryside of Lattakia/Latakia) and “committed crimes of slaughtering, looting and assaulting the local residents.”
