According to Terrell Owens, no one has called him yet but there are two teams that he thinks he could be a good fit for. The first is the Kansas City Chiefs and the second is the Minnesota Vikings.
The Chiefs is the most interesting name here, as their new head coach is Andy Reid, who coached Owens in Philadelphia. While it is unclear that relationship Reid and Owens have, the receiver’s stint at Philadelphia did not end well, when he left after having a public feud with his quarterback Donovan McNabb.
In Reid’s first season in Kansas City, he has a new quarterback in Alex Smith and they just re-signed Dwayne Bowe as their number one receiver.
The second team is the Minnesota Vikings, who just lost Percy Harvin as their top wide out. With a young quarterback like Christian Ponder starting, a player with Owen’s past history might not be the best choice. Of course, Owens mentioned that and calls it “politics” when people bring up his past.
Whether the next Terrell Owens news involves a signing or not will depend on whether anyone wants to take a chance on him being a changed man.
