Peter Nolan On Friday, August 23, Twitter users are discussing various rumors regarding transfers in the English Premier League and the latest news regarding the ‘Man of Steel’ sequel.
Second place trend on Twitter “Willian” refers to the Brazilian international footballer of the same name, who is proving to be one of the most exciting transfers in the English Premier League this summer.
The 25-year-old has been the subject of much speculation this summer as several English Premier League teams chase after him. The two leading teams appear to be London’s Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea. The former club has reportedly proposed a £30 million for the player, although reports are now emerging that London rivals Chelsea are also interested in signing the player and could, rumors suggest, table a late bid for the player.
The uncertainty over Willian’s future also accounts for “Spurs,” the nickname of Tottenham Hotspurs, trending in tenth position.
Elsewhere “Man of Steel” is buzzing after it was revealed that the star of the Superman film, Henry Cavill, will reprise his role as the son of Kal-el in a 2015 movie that will see Superman face off against Batman for the first time on the big screen. The other big news coming out of the as-of-yet-untitled 2015 sequel is that Ben Affleck will be taking on the role of Batman.
