Authorities are asking for the public’s help finding two pit bulls who were stolen on Friday afternoon from the El Cajon Animal Control located at 1275 N. Marshall Ave. in El Cajon, Calif.
According to CBS 8.com, two middle aged men entered the shelter shortly before closing and were looking at the dogs. When the attendant momentarily left the kennel area, the two men forced open the cages of the dogs and left.
Authorities are unsure why the men stole the dogs, and fear the dogs may be used for dog fighting. Both dogs have been micro chipped.
The dogs are described as a seven year-old brown and white pit bull and a blue and white, seven month old pit bull puppy.
