Underwater Pyramid Structure Discovered off the Coast of the Azores

An underwater pyramidal structure was identified at a depth of 120 feet off the coast of Terceira Island, an island in the Azores archipelago, in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean. The structure, whose proportions have been measure by sonar as perfectly symetrical, was discovered by Diocleciano Silva, a private yacht owner, while on a pleasure cruise.
The pyramid measures a stunning 180 feet in height using CPS digital technology. “The pyramid is perfectly
shaped and apparently oriented by the cardinal directions,” Silva told Diário Insular.

Archeologists from the Portuguese Association of
Archeological Research (APIA) believe they have discovered archeological evidence on
Pico island that supports human occupation of the
Azores predating Portuguese settlement by thousands of
years, signifying the settlement of a currently unidentified people.

This evidence includes protohistoric pyramidal
rock structures which stand as tall as 39 feet. The structures may have
been built to align with the summer
solstices, as many other stone structures discovered throughout the world.
