Zarwali Khoshnood, working for the Khost branch of the public radio and TV channel, RTA, said the US troops tied and kept him blindfolded in a room during the four-hour raid.
The troops then took away his computer and camera as well as his money, about 200,000 Afghanis, during Wednesday’s pre-dawn operation.
The nighttime raid has angered Afghan journalists who want an end to the controversial pre-dawn operations by the foreign troops.
Meanwhile, in a separate night raid by US-led forces in the eastern Logar province, at least 17 Afghan civilians, including women and children, were killed on Wednesday.
Logar provincial officials said a tribal elder and 16 members of his family were killed in the attack.
Overnight operations by the US-led forces have resulted in civilian casualties and increasing tension between Washington and Kabul.
