The British company Virgin Galactic’s space flight, scheduled for launch later this year, will not allow Chinese nationals on board.
The reason apparently involves the risk of losing rocket technology to Chinese government agents, according to a Jan. 25 report in the London Daily Mail.
The Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo will be launched from the U.S., carrying two pilots and six passengers.
Tickets for the space ride cost $200,000 each.
Space technologies used on many government and private space craft are strictly regulated as they employ technology that can also be applied for military purposes.
