A bushfire east of Perth has been contained but is still burning out of control.
An advice alert has been issued for people in the northern part of Chidlow in the Shire of Mundaring.
It was initially thought that homes would be affected by the fire but 60 firefighters from 11 brigades have been able to successfully reduce the threat.
The Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA) says the fire, which began late on Monday night, is contained but not controlled.
FESA says although there is no threat to lives or homes, residents should remain alert.
