ARMED intruders have terrorised two teenaged children and assaulted their father during a home invasion on the NSW Central Coast.
Police say four men forced their way into a home at Berkeley Vale about 2.15am (AEDT) today.
All were armed with weapons and once inside they ransacked the property before they assaulting a 44-year-old man and demanding money.
They also went into the bedrooms of the man’s children and threatened a 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl but did not harm them.
The offenders then left the property and attempted to steal the man’s car but crashed into a fence before fleeing on foot.
The father was treated for facial injuries at a nearby hospital.
Officers from the dog squad searched the area but couldn’t find the four men.
