Rescue workers on Sunday continued to clear the ruins caused by the heavy snowfall a day earlier.
A five-year-old girl was pulled out alive from under 10 meters of snow on late Saturday after officers heard her voice and a ringing cell phone.
Both the girl’s parents, and at least seven of her relatives, were killed in the avalanche.
More than 500 people have died across Europe due to record low temperatures that have swept the continent since late January.
The cold has also paralyzed transportation, shipping and is threatening power sources. Nearly all the rivers in the Balkans have frozen over.
Italy, France, Serbia, and the Czech Republic are among other countries that have sustained casualties.
