Benny Begin said: “In recent years, and especially in the last year, we have witnessed a strange and dangerous phenomenon. Nasty, crude attacks are coming – specifically out of the government – against the central governmental institutions in the State of Israel, against our state institutions. This phenomenon must be stopped, and the way to stop it is to replace the government. Therefore, I was happy when my friend Gideon, decided to take this bold step and establish the New Hope party, to bring about a change of government. We have the opportunity to do this in the upcoming elections, and everyone has a duty to play their part and bring about a change of government in Israel.”

New Hope chairman and candidate for prime minister, Gideon Saar welcomed Benny Begin saying: “For the past two years, Israel has been in political, economic and social chaos. I established New Hope in order to bring about a change of government, to ensure a better future for the country’s citizens, to restore stability, and to safeguard the fundamental values on which the State of Israel was founded. Former Minister Benny Begin will be a very important addition to the campaign for the future of the country. It is important that Israel will be able to benefit from his rich experience, his wisdom, his judgment, and the values he represents. “
