Treyarch announced Thursday that another double XP weekend is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops II this weekend.
“Forecast for the weekend: sunny with a 100% chance of Double XP (Xbox360/PS3/PC/WiiU), starting tomorrow at 10am/PST – Monday at 10am/PST,” Treyarch revealed via its Twitter account.
This is an odd weekend to run a double XP promotion as the Black Ops II: Uprising DLC is due out next Tuesday on the Xbox 360. Treyarch typically runs a double XP the weekend following the release of new DLC. However, it is possible they could run something like a double weapons XP after Uprising is released. We’ll have to wait and see.
The Black Ops II: Uprising DLC comes with four new multiplayer maps – Magma, Studio, Vertigo and Encore – plus the new Mob of the Dead Zombies experience that features four mobsters trapped in Alcatraz with a horde of undead gunning for them.
