Boy, 10, arrested after attack on two female teachers leaves one with broken leg and dislocated kneecap

A 10-year-old boy has been arrested over an alleged attack on two women teachers.

The incident, involving two teachers in their fifties, was at a school in Oprington, south-east London on Thursday.

One of the victims suffered a broken leg and a suspected dislocated kneecaps.

The other teacher sustained an injury to her face according to Scotland Yard.

Both women were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Police were called to the school at 1pm after reports that a pupil had assaulted two teachers.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: ‘A 10-year-old boy was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and was taken to a south-east London police station.

‘He has been bailed to return on a date in mid-February.’
