The Australian Christian Lobby has launched a website to inform Queensland voters of their MP’s record on conscience votes.
The lobby’s website, qldvotes.org.au, also polls the parties on 21 questions of concern to the Christian constituency.
Spokeswoman Wendy Francis said major issues covered in the questionnaire included poker machines, abortion, euthanasia, palliative care, adoption, outdoor advertising and Christian religious education.
Ms Francis was pleased with Family First’s commitment to implementing $1 bets on pokie machines, and the Liberal National Party (LNP) commitment to consider the findings of a 2008 senate inquiry, which recommended states collect abortion data.
The questionnaire will also be available to download in an eBook which can be read on smartphones and tablets.
