FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda “If Israel moves to attack Iran, the European Parliament will strongly condemn the aggression,” Pino Arlacchi said in an interview with Voice of Russia on Thursday.
He added, however, that there is no possibility of an aggression as long as the US presidential campaign is going on.
In case of a military attack on Iran, the US can only hope for support from a few its puppet regimes in the Persian Gulf region, said the Italian official who is also a former UN chief deputy.
Arlacchi emphasized that Iran is a large country with a powerful army.
The US and the EU have used Iran’s nuclear energy program as a pretext to impose sanctions against Tehran, while Tel Aviv has issued threats of a military strike against the Iranian nuclear facilities. Washington has also repeatedly threatened the Islamic Republic with “all options” on the table.
Iranian officials have promised a crushing response to any military strike against the country, warning that any such measure could result in a war that would spread beyond the Middle East.
