A 15-year-old girl has been indecently assaulted in Sydney’s west.
Police said the girl was walking across a footbridge in the suburb of Seven Hills on Friday afternoon when a man grabbed her from behind, forced her against the railing and sexually assaulted her.
“She was able to fight her attacker off, kicking him in the shins before running home and telling her parents about the assault,” police said in a statement.
Detectives would like to speak to a man who has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 40s, 178cm tall with a thin build, short straight black hair with grey streaks, facial stubble and yellowing teeth.
He was described as wearing a blue T-shirt and black track pants.
Anyone who witnessed the assault or saw the man in the vicinity of Best Road is asked to contact Blacktown Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
