Awake Goy Vienna, May 17, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Deputy EU Foreign Policy chief Helga Schmid held talks in Vienna on Tuesday to adopt measures to implement the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
They met on the sidelines of a meeting of the International Contact Group on Syria in which ministers and other representatives from nearly 20 countries are participating.
During the meeting, Schmid and Araqchi discussed the decisions made in the recent Iran-G5+1 Joint Commission session and called for accelerating the implementation of the nuclear deal.
The top EU official briefed the Iranian side on the efforts made by the European Union to boost and facilitate economic relations with Iran, particularly in the banking sector.
She said that the European countries are determined to expand economic relations with Iran and remove obstacles in this regard.
