Israeli forces raid orphanage in West Bank

Days of Palestine, West Bank -Israeli occupation forces raided on Monday morning Palestinian orphanage in the West Bank town of Beit Ummar.

Local sources told Day of Palestine that the Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas inside the orphanage and that caused several orphans suffering inhalation.

“The Israeli occupation forces broke the doors of the orphanage, destroyed desks, tables and chairs used by orphans and caretakers,” director of the orphanage Ahmed al-Ommah said.

He added: “They searched the orphanage thoroughly and confiscated three computers and a big number of files including personal details about the orphans.”

Commenting on the incident, Al-Omma said: “The act of the Israeli occupation is irresponsible because it targeted an organisation dedicated for little children who do not pose any threat on anyone.”
