THE Seekers singer Judith Durham is buoyed by the well wishes of fans while recovering in hospital from a cerebral haemorrhage, one of her band mates says.
Durham fell ill on Tuesday night after The Seekers played a concert at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall.
All other dates on the band’s 50th anniversary tour, which started on May 1, have been postponed.
The Seekers bass player Athol Guy said 69-year-old Durham was “resting very comfortably” in hospital and was touched by the support shown to her by the public.
“We’ve just had an absolute tsunami of love and affection and support from everywhere, that’s a great healer in itself,” Guy told the Nine Network.
“That will certainly buoy her up.”
