QUEENSLAND’S health minister has called for an investigation into claims a hospital repeatedly turned away a pregnant woman when staff knew her unborn baby had died.
Lawrence Springborg has asked Rockhampton Hospital and Queensland Health to fully investigate the claims, a spokeswoman for the minister told AAP.
The pregnant woman’s aunt told the ABC that she had been in labour for almost a week and the hospital had refused to help several times.
Police said they are aware of incident and are making enquiries.
