THE president of Lebanon will begin a five-day state visit to Australia next week.
Prime Minister Julia Gillard will welcome Michel Sleiman to Canberra for bilateral talks.
The pair will discuss international issues and reaffirm a shared commitment to co-operation and strengthened ties, she said.
Mr Suleiman will visit Australia from April 15-20.
His trip includes stops in Sydney and Melbourne.
